What we set
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
av_session | Keeps you signed in. Contains an opaque random token — no personal data, and the server stores only its hash. | Strictly necessary | 72 hours |
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics. Tells us which pages are visited and roughly how people move through the site, so we can see what is useful and what is confusing. Set only if you allow analytics; IP addresses are anonymised. | Analytics — optional | Up to 2 years |
Analytics is off until you say yes
The first time you visit, a banner asks whether we may use Google Analytics. Until you choose, nothing is loaded from Google — no script, no cookie, not even an anonymous ping. If you decline, that is remembered and you will not be asked again. If you allow it, the Google Analytics tag loads (delivered through Google Tag Manager, which carries no other tags) and sets the cookies above. Your choice is stored in your browser, not on our servers.
What we do not set
No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking pixels. No remarketing. Google Analytics is configured with advertising features off, so it is not used to build a profile of you for ads, and we do not share what it collects with anyone else.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking av_session means you will not be able to stay signed in, so bookings will have to be made as a guest.
